THIS SITE is where I deposit my writings. Since my name seems hard to pronounce for most people outside Malaysia, I thought the tongue-in-cheek Wikibeng – instead of Ooi Kee Beng – would make remembering easier. But seriously, I continue hoping that the words I express publicly can  continue contributing towards expanding contemporary discourses on society and life – especially in an Asia where thinking is more often than not warped by nationalism, jingoism, statism, ethnocentrism, economism and self-orientalism.
